The Cherokee County Educational Foundation in February 2016 issued its fourth round of Rapid Grants to Cherokee County School District schools.
The annual Rapid Grants, totaling more than $9,200 – more than double last year’s total, were awarded to schools in appreciation of their outstanding participation in the 2015-16 CCEF T-shirt campaign to raise community awareness.
All CCSD schools received the grants, which can be used at the principals’ discretion for school improvement. The Ralph Bunche Preschool Center had the highest participation per capita among staff and students.
The Foundation’s mission is to support students and staff of CCSD by promoting teaching and learning and celebrating achievements. The Foundation seeks funding and resources to enrich CCSD schools in areas not fully funded in the regular school program.
Since its establishment in 2012, the Foundation (CCEF) has awarded more than $115,000 in grants to CCSD students, teachers and schools. All money raised by CCEF is returned to CCSD and its students, teachers and schools through donations, grant opportunities and other support.
Donations may be mailed to CCEF at P.O. Box 4754, Canton, Ga. 30114 or made online at www.cherokeecountyeducationalfoundation.org. For more information, please call (770) 704-4228 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
