A Year-End Recap: Moving On to 2022!

Can you believe 2022 is already here? The last couple of years have been some of the most challenging, enlightening, and efficacious for our wonderful community. We are extraordinarily honored to represent the fundraising arm of the Cherokee County School District; the teachers, parents, students, and staff have continuously showed resiliency that will remain a source of inspiration for years to come!
Since 2021 was such a special year, we thought we'd take a moment to step back, reflect, and commemorate all that was accomplished and celebrated!

The Virtual Gala

Every year, CCEF presents the Celebration of Education Gala to benefit the teachers, students, and staff of CCSD. Last year, CCEF did things a little differently when we successfully pulled off our very first Virtual Gala! There were musical performances by the Swingin' Medallions and The Party Band of the South, a silent auction, Alumni of the Year Awards, and more. As March 12th, 2022 approaches, be on the lookout for more details about the upcoming CCEF Celebration of Education Gala!

The 8th Annual Chick-fil-A Moo've it 5K

Since its inception, this 5K has raised over $200,000 to benefit both CCEF and the Cherokee County Special Olympics. This is an event we look forward to every single year; and 2022 will be no exception! Check out some of our favorite photos we captured last year on that very special August day.

Rapid & Impact Grants

In 2021, we had countless deserving winners take initiative for their classrooms and schools. Funds were allocated to various projects like Sensory Spots for Special Education students, code-learning tools for elementary school students, increased training for teachers of English Language learners, supplies for strengthening Astronomy Clubs, and more! We can't wait to see the continued creativity and dedication of CCSD teachers applying for Impact and Rapid Grants.

At Home with CCEF T-Shirt Contest

CCEF has been on the road quite a few times, but we decided to stay at home in 2020, and again in 2021! Our At Home with CCEF T-shirt contest was a huge hit; thousands of voters weighed in on who would receive the first and second place prizes. Read more about the 2021 winners here!

This year, our T-shirts come with a new meaning: When you know your why, your what has more impact. Do you want to be involved in the CCEF T-Shirt contest in 2022? Make sure to sign up for a newsletter to get all the details for current and upcoming events.

Golf & Tennis Classics

CCEF brought back the beloved Golf Classic in 2021- only this time, we added another exciting option- the Tennis Classic! On October 11th, both classics were brought to life as CCSD staff, friends, and supporters competed for prizes for their CCSD teacher beneficiaries. Read more about the players, winners, and prizes here!

Last year was one for the books! Of course, it would be impossible to talk about every single thing that CCEF was a part of in 2021. But, we loved walking down memory lane and immortalizing just some the wonderful things that CCEF accomplished with your support. With your advocacy, CCEF can make 2022 the best year yet!
