2025 CCEF Fall Classics Recap

The Cherokee County Educational Foundation (CCEF) hosted another exciting round of its annual Fall Classic events at the BridgeMill Athletic Club this month. On October 13, 2025, 100 golfers and nearly 50 pickleball players came together for a day of friendly competition and community spirit — all in support of the teachers and students of the Cherokee County School District (CCSD).

A Day of Friendly Competition and Community Spirit

The Fall Classics featured two exciting events this year — the Golf Classic, presented by Northside Hospital Cherokee, and the Pickleball Tournament, presented by the Credit Union of Georgia. Together, they brought golfers and pickleball players together for a full day of fun, fitness, and fundraising.

The Golf Classic kicked off with a 9:00 a.m. registration and grab-and-go breakfast before teeing off at 10:00 a.m. Participants were welcomed by Dr. Mary Elizabeth Davis, Superintendent of Schools, and Billy Hayes, President of Northside Hospital Cherokee, whose inspiring remarks set the tone for an exciting shotgun start to the best-ball tournament.

Meanwhile, the Pickleball Tournament returned for its second year, offering two hours of round-robin matches, lively play, and plenty of friendly competition.

Thanks to Kevin Williams and his teams from the three Canton Chick-fil-A locations, participants enjoyed boxed lunches to refuel during play, while golfers wrapped up their day with a delicious Mexican buffet dinner catered by Featherstone's. To cap off a great day, everyone took home a CCEF swag bag — a small token of appreciation for helping make the event such a success.

Thank You to Our Sponsors and Supporters
