Get Ready for the Gala!

It's time to get excited! We're less than two months away from the 2020 Celebration of Education Gala, and we can't wait to see you there.

"Upon the subject of education . . . I can only say that I view it as the most important subject which we as people may be engaged in." - Abraham Lincoln

Here at CCEF, we truly believe in the power of education. It stretches us to be more than we thought we could be and encourages us to pursue what we don't know. Some find a compelling curiosity in math problems while others may delve into a history book and feel the pangs of the painful past of the world as they scan the text. Some may learn a love for art, others a passion for literature, and perhaps some enjoy the community they feel amongst their peers. Education doesn't end in the classroom – but it certainly begins there. For this reason, education is a noble cause in which to invest.

Our goal is to provide as much money as possible to the students and staff of the Cherokee County School District in order to help cultivate educational opportunities. While we provide many opportunities for the community to get involved in fundraisers and events, this is one of our favorites! Last year, we raised more than $80,000 at the Gala, and we're ready to top that. This year, the evening will consist of a student talent show, a silent auction, and special recognitions of outstanding alumni and educators.

This event won't be a success if you don't get involved! If you can't join us at the Northside Hospital Cherokee Conference Center on March 7, 2020, you can help in other ways. Businesses and families are encouraged to participate in the silent auction by donating items. As a perk, you will receive recognition at the Gala for your donation.

"The Gala is a sparkling and festive evening filled with fabulous food and fun! We love the chance to celebrate our best and brightest while raising money for our award-winning school district!" said Lisa-Marie Haygood, Executive Director of the Cherokee County Educational Foundation.

We're filled with anticipation for this lovely evening, and we're thrilled for the opportunity to show how much we believe in the Cherokee County School District.

If you're interested in making a donation to the silent auction, please contact Lisa-Marie Haygood at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. To purchase tickets, click here and select "Register."
