I joined the Cherokee County Educational Foundation late in 2017, serving as Executive Director which was a welcomed and natural transition for me. My belief and passion for the Cherokee County School District has been on full display for many years. I have truly loved our schools. I served as a volunteer from the time my children started kindergarten and managed to make my way from room mom all the way to State President of Georgia PTA. The great teachers and administrators I have met along the way caused me to assume that the incredible support system in public education we have here in Cherokee County existed everywhere. In reality, this place is special, and unlike any other district I have had the chance to experience.
The funds we raise go directly back into our classrooms through Rapid Grants, Impact Grants, and District Wide Grants. We are laser focused on increasing our high school graduation rates, promoting teaching and learning, celebrating achievements and increasing community and parental involvement while enhancing leadership development and teacher appreciation events and opportunities.
The Foundation exists to ensure all children of Cherokee County are afforded that same opportunity to learn and grow. We hope to continue to broaden our impact and outreach as our community continues to expand and increase in population. We are the only nonprofit in our community that benefits all of the schools in our district. It is the perfect place for businesses and corporations and civic-minded residents to contribute their time, talents and resources to ensure continued success for the betterment of all of Cherokee County.
We invite you to join us in our efforts and would sincerely appreciate your donations. Thank you for all you do to make Cherokee County the best place for children to learn and grow.
