2021 At Home with CCEF Contest Winners Announced

CCEF strives to create inclusive and exciting opportunities for supporters of CCSD educators and students to get involved. We run several programs throughout the year to supply funds to the faculty and schools for impactful educational projects, big and small. From Impact Grants, Rapid Grants, sporting events, and more, CCEF wants to provide opportunities to those who otherwise may not have the funds to make their ideas come to life. CCEF consistently seeks to support innovative and impactful education programs in the district through fundraisers, grants, and campaigns.

Every year, Cherokee County Educational Foundation runs a T-shirt campaign to help encourage donations and provide funding for the students and staff of the Cherokee County School District.Traditionally, we have had our supporters submit photos of themselves in their CCEF T-shirts "on the road" with CCEF. But last year, we decided to mix things up and asked you to submit photos of what you were doing at home in your CCEF shirts.

We loved seeing what you were getting up to at home in your CCEF T-shirts so much that we decided to do it again. And this year's submissions generated quite the buzz. We are so excited to announce the winners of the 2021 At - Home with CCEF T-Shirt contest! Drum roll please… This year's first place winner is actually a pair; Casey and Chelsea Belli! The second place winner is Jenny Kramer!

Casey and Chelsea Belli are both teachers at River Ridge High School. The photo that was submitted, "So happy Mommy and Daddy teach in CCSD" is of their daughter, Ava Grace, 2 years old, and son, Walker, 6 months old, sporting their CCEF T-shirts with their best accessory - a smile!

When asked what they plan to do with their $500 winnings, they say they recognize the extreme benefit of students teaching their peers in math. They are going to use their winnings to purchase adhesive whiteboards to place around the classrooms. These whiteboards will be used to encourage small group learning and teaching among students in the classroom.

Our second-place winner, Jenny, is thrilled to have received the $100 gift card for her classroom. Jenny teaches 1st grade at Little River Elementary School. The winning photo, "Pawsitively Happy to be CCSDFam" shows Jenny with her 5 dogs: Ninny, Dixie, Sunny, Rosie, and Lettie. With her gift card, she wants to create a special reading space for her students. Some cushions and flexible seating can encourage students to spend some time in a comfortable, personalized area. She also plans to get sight word activities to help her readers and English learners.

We would like to give one more massive congratulations to the winners of the 2021 At Home with CCEF T- shirt contest! We cannot wait to see the impact you make on your classrooms. Make sure to stay up to date with all of our events, fundraisers, and news by filling out a contact form! And don't forget to follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Until next year, #CCSDFam!
