Back to School with CCEF

Going back to school is always a busy time for everyone in Cherokee County. Whether you're still tracking down couple school supplies, working to get your classroom ready, or just readjusting to the hustle-and-bustle routine, we know this time of year can get a little hectic.

At the Cherokee County Educational Foundation, we know a few things about how busy everyone can be this time of year, so we put together a fantastic run down for all things CCEF coming up to keep you in the loop.

At Home with CCEF - 2022

Have you heard? The At Home with CCEF contest is back in 2022! That's right, as of August 2nd, submissions are now open for another exciting competition – all for the good of our Cherokee County teachers and staff.

This year, the contest remains the same: submit your best photo, either from summer travels or at home, wearing this year's CCEF t-shirt. Submissions are open until September 2nd and voting will run through September 6th through the 30th. The photo that receives that most votes will win a $500 gift card for their classroom, with second place winning $100. For more information, check out the contest page here.

As always, the proceeds for the t-shirt sales directly help us fund our amazing Rapid Grants, which are available to apply for at anytime during the school year. Rapid Grants provide up to $500 per classroom, learn more about how to apply and what the funds can be used for on our website!

Tennis and Pickleball Classic

Last year, we held another great annual CCEF Golf and Tennis Classic event at the Bridgemill Athletic Club and we are gearing up for another great event this Fall, only with a twist! These two events, now the Tennis and Pickleball Classic , directly support students and teachers of Cherokee County to help raise funding for our impact and rapid grant programs across the district.

This year, the annual CCEF Tennis and Pickleball Classic are going to be held on Columbus Day , October 10th. There will be prizes, raffles, and food, so start practicing and be on the lookout for more info on player registration. To see the winners from last year's classics, check out our post here!

9th Annual CFA Moo've It 5K

Earlier this month, we were thrilled and thankful to hold another annual Chick-fil-a Moo've It 5K in person. As one of North Georgia's largest races, it could not have been possible without our amazing volunteers, participants, sponsors, and Chick-fil-a partners.

This year's 5K was our 9th annual race, and helped raise over $75,000 for the Cherokee County Special Olympics and the Cherokee County Education Foundation. Each year, the proceeds for the Moo've It 5K help us benefit Cherokee County Education by our Impact and Rapid Grant Programs. Check out our programs for more information on our grants, or to directly support CCEF.

At CCEF, our impact and rapid grant programs could not be possible without all the amazing participants, volunteers, supporters, and sponsors that join in for each and every event. We can't wait to see you all at our events this Fall, and we are looking forward to another great school year!
