CANTON, GEORGIA, August 12, 2023 – On Saturday, the 10th annual Cherokee County Chick-fil-A Five K took place, gathering the Cherokee County community together to raise funds for the Cherokee County Educational Foundation (CCEF) and the Cherokee County Special Olympics (CCSO).
With the 2023-2024 school year coming right around the corner, that also means that another Chick-Fil-A Cherokee County 5K is upon us! This year's race will be the 10th annual 5K, happening on August 12th, 2023!
This summer has already been one to remember! Earlier this month, the Cherokee County Education foundation held another amazing golf tournament, sponsored by the Education First Fund Realty Team! CCEF also had the pleasure to introduce the first ever sporting clays tournament, co-sponsored by Batson-Cook Construction & Northside Hospital Cherokee!

Cherokee County is home to some of the best schools in Georgia, along with some incredible alumni that continue to give back to their community year after year. Each year, CCEF recognizes two alumni that have exhibited exemplary service, dedication, and civic contributions to the Cherokee County School District. This year, CCEF has chosen to recognize Judge Jennifer Davis and Randy Gravley as the 2023 Alumni of the year!
On the night of March 11th, 400 people joined the Cherokee County Educational Foundation for our 9th annual Celebration of Education Gala at the Northside Cherokee Conference Center. This event, sponsored by Manley, Spangler and Smith Architects, was the largest fundraiser in the history of CCEF, raising more than $200,000 to benefit both Classroom...
It's almost that time of the year again! The Cherokee County Educational Foundation's annual 'Celebration of Education' Gala is right around the corner! The Gala will be taking place next month, on Saturday, March 11th, 2023.
We've got so many exciting events going on with CCEF coming up soon! Along with our annual 'Celebration of Education' Gala on March 11th, we put together these upcoming events you don't want to miss out on, and the best part is, they all will help benefit the students, teachers, and staff of the Cherokee County School District!
Earlier this month, the Cherokee County Educational Foundation held another round of their annual fall classic events. This year, the fall classic took place on October 10th, 2022, at the Bridgemill Athletic Club, and included golf, tennis, and, for the first time – pickleball. Our participants enjoyed a wonderful fall morning, receiving catered breakfast and lunch and a gift bag from our wonderful sponsors.
Can you believe we are already a few weeks into 2023? Well, with the arrival of the new year, we've got some incredible things on the horizon that you don't want to miss!
We are excited to announce that CCEF's fall classics are returning in October! That's right, CCEF will be hosting their annual Golf Classic, along with a great new addition, the Tennis and Pickleball Classic. These two amazing events play a big part in funding our Rapid Grant and Impact Grant programs here at the Cherokee County Educational Foundation, and we are looking forward to a great day of competition!
Going back to school is always a busy time for everyone in Cherokee County. Whether you're still tracking down couple school supplies, working to get your classroom ready, or just readjusting to the hustle-and-bustle routine, we know this time of year can get a little hectic.
We hope your Summer has been full of relaxation, fun memories, and so much more. The school year has ended, graduation commenced, and with the summer break nearing its end, we wanted to take a look back on another great year with CCEF.
Throughout the school year our incredible Cherokee County students, teachers, faculty, and staff all worked together to put another great school in the books. Let's take a look back at this past school year as we anticipate another great year to come!

Over the years, the Moo've It 5K has donated over $200,000 to the Cherokee County Education Foundation and the Cherokee County Special Olympics, making things such as the Impact Grants and Rapid Grants possible for our wonderful teachers and staff all over Cherokee County.

We are very excited about our event to benefit the schools and students of the Cherokee County School District. This black-tie night includes dinner, the “CCSD’s Got Talent” Student Talent Show, Silent Auction and special recognitions of outstanding Alumni and Educators. We are asking for your support.
THIRD Annual "Celebration of Education" CCEF Gala
The Cherokee County Educational Foundation will build upon the success of its past two events with the presentation of its Third Annual “Celebration of Education” Gala benefitting the Cherokee County School District on Saturday, March 11, 2017.
The black-tie optional event at the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Conference Center in Canton begins with a cocktail hour and silent auction at 6:30 p.m. and dinner, awards and entertainment at 7:30 p.m. The event’s presenting sponsor is Northside Hospital-Cherokee.
“Our past two galas have been so successful that we can’t wait for this year’s event,” CCEF Board President William “Billy” G. Hasty Jr. said. “Our sponsors and guests help us celebrate the important work being done every day by our School District and raise funds to benefit CCSD students, teachers and schools.”
Since its establishment in 2012, CCEF has awarded more than $205,000 in grants to students, teachers and schools. The nonprofit, charitable foundation seeks funding and resources to enrich schools in areas not fully funded in the regular school program.

Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, raffle with cash prizes and silent auction during the cocktail hour reception, followed by dinner, dessert and the program. The entertainment will be the third annual “CCSD’s Got Talent” student talent show featuring the best act from each of CCSD’s six high schools in competition for a $1,000 grand prize and $500 runner-up prize.
The Cherokee County Educational Foundation held its Fourth Annual Golf Classic on October 31 at Hawks Ridge Golf Club.
