The start of summer marks a transition for businesses and events in the community to begin a return to a new type of normal. Our community has been cautiously optimistic about returning to work and attempting to restore our economy. It is our strong hope that the laughter of children will again fill our school buildings, buses, and classrooms this August. It is with that hope that the Chick-fil-A restaurants of Cherokee County are pressing forward with their 7th Annual "Moo've It" 5K Road Race at the Etowah River Park on August 15th.
Proceeds from the race benefit both the Cherokee County Educational Foundation and the Cherokee County Special Olympics. This is huge for us as this race is the largest in North Georgia and is a pre-qualifier for the Peachtree Road Race. It will be held in wide-open spaces with plenty of room for folks to take in fresh air, sunshine, and fitness. Participants will receive chipped bibs, allowing for runners to take their time and distance from others. Get ready for outdoor exhibitors, warm-up stretching sessions, and a day full of fun!
We love having runners, but if you would like to serve in a different capacity, there are other options for you!
